Role Type: Internship
Duration: 3 Months
Primary Objective
Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities while ensuring timely
deployment of patches across all endpoint devices to reduce risk and maintain system
security and performance.
Key Responsibilities;
Vulnerability Management
Perform regular vulnerability scans using approved security tools.
Identify, analyze, and prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity and risk.
Track remediation status and ensure timely closure of identified issues.
Coordinate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities.
Maintain vulnerability reports and dashboards for management review.
Assist in audit preparation by providing vulnerability management evidence.
Patch Management
Monitor endpoints (desktops, laptops, servers) for missing OS and application patches.
Schedule and deploy patches using patch management tools.
Test patches in a pilot group before full deployment.
Track patch compliance and generate reports for the CISO.
Troubleshoot patch failures and coordinate fixes with senior IT staff.
Maintain patch logs and ensure audit readiness.
General Responsibilities
Ensure all activities comply with organizational security policies and standards.
Document processes, SOPs, and remediation steps.
Escalate critical vulnerabilities or patch failures promptly.
Support incident response activities related to vulnerabilities when required.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Engineering (BE) / B.Tech (Freshers eligible)
Technical Skills
Basic understanding of Vulnerability Management concepts (CVSS, risk levels,
remediation).
Knowledge of Windows/Mac OS and common enterprise applications.
Familiarity with patching processes and update mechanisms.
Basic understanding of networking (IP, DNS, LAN/WAN).
Awareness of security tools (e.g., vulnerability scanners, endpoint tools) is a plus.
Soft Skills

Ability to follow processes and work under supervision.
